All grown up!

The day has come... I feel old!

My little brother had his last home season basketball game last night, and although I wasn't there to watch... I can see my aging! My "little" (he is about 6'6") isn't going to college next year, right? He is still in elementary school... right?!?! Nonetheless, I have to say he is AWESOME! I am a very proud sister!
It is crazy to think that next year he could possibly be on the whole other side of the country, dominating in basketball, with a three hour time difference, surrounded by friends and people I never have met, at a place I have never seen... but I guess reality is... that is what lies ahead.
I remember when I left for school... I was so stoked to move away from home, the mountains, my parents, and even my high school friends. A fresh start sounded like the best thing in the world. I never thought I would look back and miss a thing. But after that first year away... and more so my sophomore year, reality hit that I do miss home, I do miss the mountains, I do m
iss my parents, and I do miss my friends. I wouldn't change a thing about going to school out of state to place I didn't know anyone! I can honestly say it has been the best decision I have made! But boy oh boy, are there days I miss the comforts of home.

Saturday = lazierrrr day
Alarm went off a 7am, and to the gym I went. I usually walk there in the mornings, but after what sounded like a hurricane last night... walking to the gym didn't sound so appealing.
Workout:
Circuit training: 15 min StairStep, 15 min Treadmill 7.5mph, 15min elliptical trainer Strength 11...
24hour LIFT class aka Lady who kicks your butt class!

I love going to the market! After the gym, I came home and made my daily spinach and eggwhite scramble (TRUELIFE: I am addicted to spinach)... and decided it was time to fill the empty fridge. I had 60 eggs, 3 yogurts, and some mustard fulfilling my shelf of the fridge. Hmmm... whats for dinner? yogurt,eggs with mustard. YUCK!
Sprouts = my favorite! Just going inside makes me happy!
And now I am all stocked up for the week. Salad, veggies, oatmeal... all the yummy stuff.

I threw in a yam and some brussel sprouts to make for dinner. This will be the first time I have made either so wish me luck! I am excited to see how it turns out. I found a few recipes online, but I think I am going to go with the balsamic roasted yam and brussel sprouts... my tummy is growling as it sounds so good!

Day Four: A picture of your night
Night hasn't happened yet... so no picture today!

  1. You are an awesome sister that Parker is very fortunate to have. He just doesn't always know or appreciate it yet. And by the way...you are NOT old! I look foward to reading this everyday. I'm learning a little bit more about you every day.
