7am wake up call! Made a quick breakfast on the go... 1/4 cup oatmeal and 1 cut up apple... (Its like a yummy apple pie :) )... and headed out the door for my walk to the gym. People always ask why I walk to the gym...? My answer: There is nothing better then waking up and walking in fresh air! I loveeee it! It makes the mornings that much better!
Gym Workout:
1 hour: Full Body Free Weights on Bosu ---
20 minutes: Hill iinterval training on Treadmill
20 minutes: StairStep Machine
15 minutes: Stretch and Sauna
DONE! And it felt sooooo good!
I walked my 20 minute walk home, calling my Dad on my way. It has become routine.
Walk home from the gym = convo with "D".
For lunch/post workout meal, I made myself my usual spinach and egg white scramble.
- 4oz Frozen spinach cooked
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 onion
- HOT SAUCE
delicious. It just never gets old!
And packed my snacks for the day ahead.
Peanut Butter Nature Valley Bar ( not so good for you, but I do love them... and as a college student it is nice to have a "to-go to" quick bar when you don't have time to make something), two mini oranges, and tea!
Came home hours later, three classes and two tutoring sessions later... to make a quick but fabulous salad.
- Lettuce
- Carrots
- Roma tomato
- Two hard boiled egg whites
- balsamic vinegar
- Lemon pepper
Hit the spot!
“No act of kindness is too small. The gift of kindness may start as a small ripple that over time can turn into a tidal wave affecting the lives of many.”
I love to witness how society functions, how people interact, and how people respond to different situations. And I am always amazed about how judgemental our world is, me included. One of my favorite things anyone ever told me was that you never know what a smile could mean to someone. :) Just the more reason to keep smiling! Yay!
Day Five: A picture of a place you have been.
Newport Beach: My "kind of" backyard
