The good news though... my fear of eating out is slowly going away... or I should rather say... I am going to HAVE to make it go away! Eating out seems to be quite a trend in the office... lets do lunch? how about dinner? ahhhh! But I WILL survive right?!?! I keep telling myself... it is all about what you order and how you customize it! Yup! It is true... I am THAT girl! Can I have this dish without this and that, and extra veggies... dry?? Meal complete!
And the additional good news... I was able to get a work out in EVERY morning! I thought for sure that I was going to have to skip days... but nope... 4:45am each morning I got up and headed to Bally Fitness next to the hotel and got a good hour and fifteen/half hour work out in! Then it was back to the hotel to shower and head to the office by 8:30am! Not to shabby eh?!!?
I got back to Orange County Thursday afternoon, as it was a 4 day weekend for us interns! So Friday I was very excited to be able to attend my Pilates and Yoga class! Inbetween classes I was going to do my usual cardio, which consists of 20 minute run and 20 minute stairstepper... but I got competitive with the girl running next to me (she had no idea haha), and I told myself I wouldn't stop until she did....
soooo long story short... the RESULTS!
Good Ole' Six Mile Run
The last two days have been the usual routine. Yesterday was hour cardio and 24lift... and then today was cycle followed by Yoga (I did my own practice today... the instructor never showed up :/)...
Now to my eats!
Since I haven't been home much this week, I wasn't able to cook and therefore, like I said earlier... was eating out Monday thru Thursday.
Breakfast: Starbucks coffee, Starbucks oatmeal with no additional ingredients.
Lunch: Catered in.... no worries though I made it work :)
Dinner: Salmon, salmon, salmon... yum!
Salmon in a bag?! Dinner at Bottega Louie in Downtown LA!
We had a social one evening at Lucky Strike (super fun!)... but the food consisted of fried mac' and cheese... yes you heard me right! FRIED mac and cheese... and then beef skewer things (I don't eat red meat...), so that night after the social I made my way to the Ralphs by the hotel and DEMOLISHED a bag of carrots!
I haven't had much time to try many new recipes, but I did venture to try a Date Shake!
Ingredients:
1/2 Frozen Banana 1 Date Vanilla Extract Sweetener 5 Ice Cubes Almond Milk to get it going... BLEND!
Lets just say... DELICIOUS! You could probably go without using sweetener as well. From the banana and date, there is enough natural sugar I think :)
My cute little chicken breast with a packet of broccoli and tomato!
