7am... Sleep in!
I woke up this morning realizing that I didn't have to go to work today... or tomorrow... or the next day....
Hmm.... my second thought was... what am I going to do with my day then?!
Ofcourse... the morning gym session was included.
My workout:
- 45 min of free weights using the bosu ball for core strength and balance
- 20 min 7.5mph run
- 20 min 12 level stair master
- Sauna cool down... and a nice walk home from the gym :)
Before my workout, I made a breakfast to go so I could eat on my walk to the gym. This included:
- pink lady apple (sooo crisp and yummy!)
- half a vanilla carbmaster yogurt
- Tbls of dark cocoa
After my workout, I was in desperate need of some PROTEIN and carb! So this post-workout meal included:
1. the other half of my vanilla carbmaster yogurt, with 2 Tbls of brown rice, and 1 Tbls of peanut flour...
Don't knock it till you try it... adding brown rice to your yogurt is a great way to get quality carb and add texture. Once day I was starring into my fridge and doing that "what the heck am I going to make" stare, when all that there was to put together was brown rice and yogurt so I thought what the heck! I will give it a try... and now it is a new addiction :) So you never know! Whats the worst thing... you throw it away and start over right?
2. Two eggwhites, handful of spinach, half a broccoli crown, jalapenos... scrambled topped with nutritional yeast and hot sauce... YUM! Never gets old!
Protein success... and tummy happy and full!
I got some little things out of the way this morning... including sending my SIGNED offer letter out in the mail! WOOHOO!!!!
And now I am just sitting at the pool... in the shade... on my computer, with a healthified protein packed coffee frap sitting next to me! Talk about relaxing! Nothing beats this!
Stuffed Green Peppers (Again)
Last night I grilled another stuffed green pepper, so I lied in my last post saying that I was going to try a new recipe. I flaked :) I was craving something spicy and grilled and so I went to what I knew my tummy would enjoy.
So perhaps tonight will be the night for a new recipe! Guess you will have to wait and see?
