Today there was a 100% of rain all day. So I woke up and drove to the gym this morning to get my morning work out in instead of walking assuming that 100% chance of rain meant... It was GOING to be RAINING!
I drove there. No Rain.
I did my work-out.. Cycle Class followed by Yoga Class (One of my favorite work out days). Still No Rain.
I drove home. No Rain.
So what does 100% chance of rain mean?!?! And how much do we pay weather forecasters to be wrong? Just curious :)
I "invented" a new smoothie this weekend as well. And by "invented" I mean, it is one of those creations I threw together, but I am 100% sure, and by 100% I mean I know for a SOLID fact, that someone has already created it. But since it is new to me, let me share it with you!
Banana Almond/Walnut Vanilla Smoothie
- half a large banana (frozen)
- 3oz low fat Vanilla Chai Yogurt (Ralphs carbmaster brand is the best!)
- handful of almonds or walnuts (like 6ish)
- a little water to get the action going
Throw ingredients into the blender... push blend... and you have yourself a delicious smoothie at about 150 calories!
It was a great breakfast to start off my day!
I eat a lot of salad. A lot, a lot. Like I eat it everyday. So I decided that I would stop buying the small bags every other day and just go and get the HUGE bag from Costco. So today I made a trip to my favorite place in the world... Costco, and "invested" in a large bag of salad. 3lbs for $2. Can't beat that! I, of course, also made the rounds of some samples. (I don't try everything... the calories in samples add up like you wouldn't believe... so NOTE TO SELF: pick and choose what you really want to try)
Nothing too good to brag about. Salmon burgers were probably my favorite sample. They were pretty good and at about 170cal per burger! I can imagine they would be a great addition to my salad... but I don't need 15 patties of Salmon. Well, actually it is more like, I don't know where I would put 15 patties in my little apartment freezer that three of us share. But nonetheless, they were yummy!
Off to tutoring and meetings for the rest of the night!
Ohh... and a quick pic from our St. Patty's Day night :)
