Gold.Green.

This past Thursday I had a exec. meeting for all greek life on campus (I am the Vice President of Finance for Kappa Alpha Theta). We have these meetings every once in awhile to just check in with eachother and see what is going on, what we need to work on... etc. At this particular meeting, we did a game called Colors. Now I have heard of this game before, but never had actually done it. I filled out my questionnaire thingy, and found out that I am a dominant gold with a green stressor.
WOWWWW!!! After reading the description of who makes up a gold, and who makes up a green, I thought someone had just defined my whole life and mindset. It was ridiculous!
Some few things for a GOLD person (aka ME):
- Follow rules and respect authority... yup that's me.
- Value home, family, and tradition... yup that is me.. Did I ever tell you about how my parents surprised me with a trip to Mexico for Christmas break as our Christmas present... and I was upset and mad about it because we weren't having Christmas like we always had. I couldn't handle the change from tradition. Yup... that was me.
- Maintain organization, handle details, and believes work comes before play... HELLOOO ME!
Some things for a GREEN person (aka ME as well):
- Seek knowledge and understanding
- Problem solver
- Drawn to challenges
- Appear to be older than my years and focused on my greatest interest
- Prefer to let my head rule my heart
... It is all me...
Long story short... I felt like God came down to earth and wrote out all my characteristics on a paper... and called it GOLD and GREEN, and then went back to heaven :)
It was really interesting though because within the exec discussion we learned about how to work with the other colors, blue (nurturing people), and orange (spontaneous people). If you have never done this activity before I highly recommend it. It made life more clear I swear!

Friday came and went... quite fast! I went to the gym in the morning, and tutored all afternoon. When I got home I decided I wanted to make something new and different for dinner... So I looked at what I had in my fridge (aka nothing) and came up with something ORANGE!

Yam, Carrots, Tuna foil - Roasted

The Result!
Yummy!
It was quite satisfied with my dinner! And decide since I was on a roll I would try something new for dessert. I looked in my cupboard to see what I could find (that is pretty empty too), and starring at me was a can of black beans. So I thought... what the heck! I am going to make my own recipe for black bean brownies. We don't have all the "baking" necessities you need to bake at our apartment (vanilla, baking soda.. etc), but I managed to make do with what I had and it came out alright!

1/2 can black beans, 2 tbps cocoa powder, 4tsp sugar, 1 tbps instant coffee, 1 egg
Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes... and you have...

Black Bean Brownies!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!
