Two Strangers Showed Up at My Door.

I went to bed Thursday night... thinking... I would get up in the morning to work out, lay out by the pool, and then attend my honors banquet. A complete Friday.

But around 11:30pm, my lights turned on and two "strangers" were standing over me!
SURPRISE!!!
My Mom and Grandma were here! They had come out to attend my honors banquet with me :)

I had a fabulous weekend with them! And couldn't imagine what it would have been like to not have them with me Friday night!

Friday was a relaxing day. I woke up and worked out early, while my Gma and Mom slept in. Once they were up and going, we made a trip to the market. (I wasn't expecting guests, so my fridge was EMPTY... not a single thing to offer in sight). We came home with some very yummy food!
Some additions to my usual groceries:
- lentils
- tofu
- shrimp
- conconut oil
- coconut water
..... My mom and grandma stocked me up :)
We made a quick lunch when we got home... and headed to the pool for the day! It was perfect weather! Sunny with a slight breeze! ahhh.... so relaxing!
6pm... The Awards Banquet began... I was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma... and I recieved my scholarship award!

Saturday morning I woke up again early to get to the gym while my they slept. I didn't want to miss any time with them! When I got home we walked over to the nearby Starbucks and enjoyed some coffee... and then wondered around the mall and of course found some clothes we decided we "needed". The sun never came out :( so the pool never happened... but my Grandma was able to meet up with her friend that lives out here while my mom and I traveled to Jogurt... my favorite frozen yogurt place in Cali! Yummm! I think my mom would agree... It was delish!
Saturday night was my formal, so my Mom and Grandma got to witness the events of us getting ready. I call in an event because the stress and drama that comes with getting ready is worth the title of EVENT! I never went to prom, so my Mom and I never had the prom getting ready day so this was what we can replace that missing memory with :)

Sunday: HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! and for the first time in 3 years... I was with my Mom for Mother's Day! But not only that, she was with her Mom! Their flight left at 10:30am, but it was NECESSARY that we do something for Mother's Day. So what beats a early morning walk on Newport Beach?! Nothing!
We left my apt around 6:30am... yes it was 6:30 IN THE MORNING... and we drove down to the beach, grabbed a coffee and began our walk. I have never been at the beach in the morning... but it was the BEST morning ever! The cool breeze... the ocean air... ahhhh it was AMAZING! A morning run in Newport is going to be a must once summer is here!

And I even found my new home while I was walking....

NOT!

It was so fun having them with me all weekend! I am usually not a "surprise" person, but it was so memorable and I am so thankful they made it out here!

Now.... reality!

I have a week until finals! ONE WEEK!!! Ahhhhh!!!  Wish me Luck!

So I will say farewell to all my blog followers until after finals.... May 21! I will miss you all :)
